The Ada County Sheriff's Office, the Idaho Department of Correction and Special Olympics Idaho came hungry and ready for combat.
Participants had to finish a one-pound hamburger, a big order of fries (or tots) and a large soda, all within 30 minutes.
"The sheriff's office accepted the challenge," said sheriff Stephen Bartlett. "Major Ron Freeman and myself, the sheriff, we took the eating challenge...and oh, my word, it was tough, but we made it through."
The competition was tough, but the payoff was knowing that the big winner today was Special Olympics Idaho.
